Locomotives Vol I & II

£40.00

Product description

This two volume leather bound series on Locomotives is in good condition. The covers are good, maroon with gold lettering . There are no dust jackets. Inside there is some foxing and discolouration due to age but the pages are tight. It is richly illustrated with fold out pictures and photographs of locomotives. From the author's introduction: "In the following pages the writer presents in a comprehensive form a general survey of the more important aspects of the construction, operation and maintenance of locomotives:- Steam; Diesel; Electric; Internal Combustion; Fireless, etc. Whilst historical matter has been more or less avoided, the development of locomotives from the somewhat elementary construction of fifty years ago is often referred to, so that the more refined details embodied in the machines of today can be more readily understood."

Oxfam Bookshop Bath

The Bath Oxfam Books and Music shop has been open since 2001. We stock a wide selection of books, vinyl, cds and dvds but always welcome donations to keep our shelves full and interesting. Following our shop refit in 2009 we have a modern, bright and spacious interior where customers are welcome to browse at their leisure. We do not specialise in any one area but often seem to do particularly well with History books and Vinyl. Thanks to the wonderful donations we receive on a daily basis through the door, and from our local Book Banks, we offer our customers a fantastic range of stock both in the shop and online. Please come and see for yourselves!
