1865 edition with marbled and leather bound boards and green end papers. Gilt lettering on the spine. The binding is intact, apart from one loose illustration 'Modern Sirens' at page 232. The binding is visible at the paste-downs. There is some foxing. The corners of the covers are a little bumped and the marbling is worn along the middle parts of the edges of the spine. There is a c. 1cm tear from the bottom edge of the title page; and there is a smaller tear to the bottom of the back cover end paper.

Overall, of the used book is good - there are no markings on the pages and the binding is secure.
