Manufacturing Processes

£45.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

This book, the Seventh Edition, builds upon the previous six editions of Manufacturing Processes, which has proved its value as a key reference work.

In this edition, chapters have been included to give essential knowledge of material structures and how physical properties may be changed. Original line diagrams and photographs have been generously used for clear visualisation of processes, and the tables have been chosen carefully for greatest usefulness. The seventh edition includes twice the number of questions and problems at the end of each chapter. Additionally, open-ended case studies encourage the interpretive and analytical part of manufacturing process understanding.

An important addition to this edition is the inclusion of the metric system but not to the exclusion of the English system. The evolution from English to metric units is certain, and this edition helps to bridge the gap by showing the metric values in parenthesis by each English value.

New material has been added to the chapters where developments have been significant and appear long lasting. An historical photograph is included at the beginning of each chapter to point out the history and evolution of processes in manufacturing. An increased interest in historical background is evident in students.

Pages are clean and bright. Wear/scuffing to cover. Previous owner's inscription at front. Moderate foxing on top, bottom and edges of pages. Some pages have partially come away from spine.
