The book has blue cloth-covered boards and spine with the book title and the author's and publisher's names in gilt on the spine. There is no bumping to the corners nor any shelf wear. The hinges are in very good condition and the pages are tightly bound to the spine. The pages are well-cut and there is no discolouration. The dust jacket is in very good condition with no signs of wear or tear, although the jacket has faded a little on its inner surface. It portrays a black and white photograph of the subject. There is also a batch of black and white photographs in the centre of the book. The jacket has not been price-clipped. The book has been signed by the subject (Mary Whitehouse) on the front free endpaper and not by the author!
