Medieval Needlepoint: Twenty-four easy-to-make projects for the home

£5.99

Product description

From the blub
"Medieval Needlepoint is the first needlepoint book inspired by the medieval period. It contains twenty-four practical projects for the home, ranging from the quick and easy to the more ambitious, based on rich colours and designs of medieval art. Hunting scenes, depictions of chivalric endeavour and exquisite plant and animal motifs drawn from the pages of medieval illuminated manuscripts form the main decorative themes.

Each project is introduced by a full-colour reproduction of the image that inspired it, and colour photographs taken in medieval settings illustrate the finished items. Charts generated using revolutionary new computer technology provide exceptionally clear and accurate stitching guide, and Debby Robinson gives practical, easy-to-follow advice on stitching and making-up, accompanied by attractive line drawings.

She has based the colours of her projects on yarns manufactured by DMC and Paterna, and each colour is identified by brand number and a standard colour name, which can be used to match yarns of other manufacturers. Supply packs, containing plain canvas, yarns and a needle, are available for the projects, and a selection is available as complete kits, with printed canvas designs. A price list and order form are given in the book."

Excellent pages with slight edge-wear. Small inscription on the front flyleaf.
