Product description

Julius Petersen's 'Methods and Theories for the Solution of Problems of Geometrical Constructions Applied to 410 Problems, first published in Danish in 1866 and translated to English in 1879, remains in publication.  This copy of the first English translation (by Sophus Haagensen) is from the Library of the University College of Wales (Aberystwyth) and retains both its acquisition number and record of disposal in 1996.  The cover is dark blue with embossed panels on front and back and gilt lettering on the spine. The front free end paper is detached, but present and the page block has foxed.  Otherwise, the binding and contents are very good plus.  A rare survivor in very good condition.
