The front board has black lettering and border, the spine has gold and black lettering. The back board has staining and both boards have slight bumping to the corners. The spine is slightly faded and has bumping to the top and bottom. The hinges are tight. The front free page(s) have been glued to the cover and this has stained the visible page. The last free page is discoloured and has foxing. The text block, i.e. all other pages and illustrations are clean and bright. The book has 25 full page illustrations, one in colour facing the title page. The book also has many black and white illustrations throughout the text. The page edges are clean and the top edge is tinted red.
