£24.00

Product description

Publisher: Herbert Jenkins, 1923, New edition. Hardback in rare dustjacket, 384 pages. With one hundred and sixty illustrations by Sussex Artists. Cover, in light green cloth boards with black titling to spine and front, is in good, sound and bright condition commensurate with age with a little fading to edges and foot of spine and light bumping to spine extremities. Internally the book is in good, firm and clean condition with light tanning to pages and foxing spots to page block edges and endpapers commensurate with age. Slight weakening of front hinge at half-title page but still firmly and securely held. The 160 wonderful b&w illustrations are all in lovely clean and bright condition. The rare dustjacket is in poor to fair condition. Largely complete, it has significant shelfwear with several tears to bottom and top edges (with significant loss at bottom edges and some loss at upper edges. There are also some light foxing and handling marks. However it remains largely complete and still very attractive with 6 illustrations to front. Overall, a sound and beautifully illustrated copy of this wonderful old volume on Sussex in a rare dustjacket.
