On a wave and a prayer: A History of the Youghal Lifeboat Station

£14.99

Product description

The town of Youghal is notable for its rich and fascinating history. From its origins, as an important centre of medieval maritime trade, the sea has had an enormous influence on the history and development of the town. The establishment of the Youghal Lifeboat Station during mid-19th century, and the involvement of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, marked the beginning of an important chapter in that history. This book is a valuable insight into the evolution of the Lifeboat Station since then. It pays tribute to the courage of crew members past and present, and the support given to ~RNLI, by the people of Youghal. The book contains many rare and historic photographs.

Used. Good Condition. Some text on first page (please see photo). Few slight creases. Slight wispy marks.
