Ouessant - L'île où finit la terre

£19.99

Product description

Ouessant/Ushant is a French island at the south-western end of the English Channel which marks the north-westernmost point of metropolitan France. It belongs to Brittany and is in the traditional region of Leon. Administratively, Ushant is a Ouessant commune in the Finistère department. From the tempestuous seas off Scotland, to the blazing sun of Spain, Philip Plisson, Peintre de la Marine, together with his son Guillaume, has researched the Eastern Seabord of the Atlantic Arc in order to offer this unique survey of the 140 major lighthouses that help the mariner navigate safely in this part of the world. This photographic adventure has taken place from the land, from the sea and by helicopter from the air.

Large hardback book with dustjacket. Dustjacket intact and only slightly marked and bumped. It weighs 1.21Kg and so may incur extra cost. Green cloth covered boards with the word Ouessannt impressed on front board. The text is all in French. There is some damage to the internal rear board, and the rear ffep which does transfer to the inside pages. Similarly the front board, although no further damage. It is in a nice clean condition with a lot of photographs but no internal markings and the binding is good.
