This 1824 volume of “The Poetical Works of John Milton”, edited by Edward Hawkins, almost entirely consists of book 7 of “Paradise Lost”. There is also a postscript by Thomas Newton, as well as extended indexes. It is a leather-bound copy with gilt patterning on the spine. All edges are painted with a marbled design. Condition: this is an ex-library book with a stamp on the ffep. the covers and spine are moderately rubbed and discoloured, while the book’s edges are somewhat faded. There are some old pen and pencil marks on the flyleaves. The interior pages are also affected by some mild marking and staining throughout. However, the interior pages are generally clean and bright, and the biding is for the most part strong.
