This journal, written by Pehr Kalm, a Finnish botanist, focuses on the year 1748, when he was sent to North America on a botanical mission. En-route, he spent three months in London, where his research became truly fascinating. This edition also includes an epilogue which contains the results of Kalm's journey, as well as his sojourns in North America and Britain.
A fabulous purchase for botanists and those with an interest in natural history!
