Performance: Live Art Since The 60s

£17.99

Product description

This is a complete illustrated survey of Performance art from the 1960s to the present. The book presents Performance art from its first emergence in the work of Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni and Happenings, to the work of Hermann Nitsch, Joseph Beuys and the extraordinary opera spectacles of Robert Wilson and from the breakthrough performances by Laurie Anderson that brought this art form to a wider public, to the theatricality of works by Pina Bausch. Used hardback in very good condition with dust jacket in good condition. Dust jacket (not price clipped) has minor wear along the top and bottom edges with a small (c.1 cm) closed tear on the front. The inside of the cover is foxed. The book (blue cloth boards with gilt decoration to front board and gilt titles to spine) has minor bumping to the fore edge corners of the boards, a bump to the bottom of the rear board by the spine and a small dark stain on the front board. Internally the book is clean throughout with a tight binding.
