Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens

£300.00

Product description

Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens - J.M. Barrie

Illustrated by Arthur Rackham.
Published by Hodder & Stoughton. Early twentieth century (1912) but no date seen. pp 125

Green cloth with no dust jacket. Very attractive gold titles and decoration to front and spine. One or two light marks to upper and evident sunning around the top edges and spine strip. Mild fraying to spine tips; corners very good but some knocking to the corners and they appear turned in a little.
Block edges foxed.
A very heavy book with excellent internal structure. Title page is foxed and adorned with Rackham's artwork. The colour frontispiece is tissue protected, as are the fine tipped in plates through the book.

There is a second loose title page, very shabby and torn, with a 20 cm section missing. It is not obvious where this page was positioned in the book. Some foxing through the book. Tasteful line illustrations and fifty mounted plates in colour.

Nice floury paper grade,

Oxfam Bookshop Market Harborough

Oxfam is the UK's largest second hand bookseller. Oxfam bookshops offer a wider selection of books than most shops, from modern fiction and leisure interest to more specialist subjects, classics, and rare or collectable books. We also stock an attractive range of greetings cards and a good selection of stationery. Come and browse!

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
