A small, agreeable volume of Addison's travels to Italy and Switzerland in the early eighteenth century. This edition published in 1767 by J. and R. Tonson, the well-known London publishers. Leather-bound with seven gold bands on the spine. Spine rubbed, boards in good condition. Two leather labels on the spine, one red, "Addison's Works" and one black below "Vol. LV." Faded gilt to top of page edges and gilt serrations on the edges of the boards. For the book's two hundred and fifty-two years it is in good solid and square condition. Clean and bright inside. The eight attached images will give a good impression of the book's condition. No marks or inscriptions. Not ex-library.
