Ruskin lace & linen work

£12.99

Product description

From the blurb;
"In 1894 John Ruskin gave his name to a form of embroidery which was practised in the Lake District and which incorporated drawn thread, cutwork and needlpoint lace. Today it is again a popular form of needlelace.

The book deals first with the numerous techniques of Ruskin lace, illustrated with detailed working diagrams and photographs. It then goes on to provide 60 patterns, and finally suggests articles to which these patterns can be applied, with methods of construction.

Elizabeth Prickett is the foremost exponent and teacher of Ruskin lace. She lives near Coniston, the home of the craft, and teaches at local further education centres as well as running courses all over the country."

Excellent pages with some edge wear.
