Seven Ages of the Architect

£3.99

Product description

The adventures of Archie the architect and a host of other characters, imaginary and real, have been entertaining (and occasionally annoying) Louis Hellman's professional peers for a quarter of a century.
While the Architect's Journal began publishing his topical cartoon strips in 1967, he has reached an even wider audience in recent years with the famous Archi-Têtes series, often featured in the Architectural Review, and Hellmanisms (graphic limericks in more than one sense) in Building Design.
His work is increasingly published in such varied publications as Private Eye and the Sunday Times, as well as abroad. Seven Ages of the Architect is an anthology of more than 200 of Hellman's greatest cartoons, described by the late Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as 'by far the best architectural lampooning known to me', and 32 of his Archi-Têtes in colour, published to mark the architect-cartoonist's silver jubilee.
