Cover, in orange-brown cloth boards with dark brown titling to spine, is in good, clean condition with very light shelfwear and light bumping to corners. Very light crease to cloth across front top corner. Internally the book is in good, clean, bright and firm condition with no significant marks (but see below), creases or tears. Very small pencil name inscription on half-tile page which could easily be erased if desired. Two or three illustrations have been coloured in with crayon (could be erased with care) and the illustration on p 269 has some faint traces of crayon scribble on it (which also could be erased with care). Tanning to page block edges and a few light foxing spots here and there commensurate with age. Decorative front endpapers and charming illustrations by Harold Jones.
