A handsome book given as a prize in 1904 in a class of Ancient History, with a label on the inside of the front cover indicating when and to whom. There is a gilt emboss of the arms of University College London on the outside of the front cover, as well as a gilt embossed leaf on the spine cover under the title.

Full leather binding with some wear to the outside of the front hinge, the top and bottom of the spine cover and the board corners. Marbled end papers. All edges to the text block in gilt. No marks and good binding.
