Thirty six gardens in Britain attached to great houses or castles, with water-colours by the English artist, George S Elgood.

Blue cloth covered boards with gold text and line decoration to front and spine. Edges of boards and hinges are worn, corners bumped, small chips to corners and base of spine. Closed tear to top front edge of spine. Black end papers. Very slight foxing to first and last few pages. Occasional smudges and thumb marks within text block which is otherwise clean and lightly but evenly tanned.
