Spanish Maine – 1st edition

£9.99

Product description

Spanish Maine – 1st edition

Percival Christopher Wren

John Murray, London, 1935: 1st edition.

Published in America under the title of “The Desert Heritage”.

Hardback; 130 x 180 mm; green boards with titles in black on spine, and an ex libris pictorial in black on the front cover; 320 pages. No dust jacket.

The book is in fair condition. The binding is sound though the book is cocked. Minor wear to the edges of the covers, and more serious wear along the joints. Page end tanning and foxing, and some foxing internally.
A melodrama in which the male protagonist “is rotten through and through”, and the female protagonist struggles with her past as prostitute and her present as the member of a respectable family.
