Hardback, with unclipped dustjacket in excellent condition, almost as new. Jacket has a bookseller's sticky label affixed to inner flap. It has slight shelf wear along the top edge and the rear top corner is rubbed. Underneath, the cloth board covers are green with gold titling along spine, perfect condition. Front and rear pastedowns and end papers are gold coloured. Full title: "Sunbirds; A Guide to the Sunbirds, Flowerpeckers, Spiderhunters and Sugarbirds of the World, by Robert A. Cheke and Clive F. Mann, illustrated by Richard Allen. This book is clean and bright and smooth; the page block edge has the faintest dusting to the top edge but otherwise is perfect. The colour plates are stunning. This is the first book since the 19C to cover in detail all the world's Nectarinidae and is a must-have for any keen ornithologist.
