Sundays of the Saints [First edition, 1928]

£24.99

Product description

Sundays of the Saints: Sermon Outlines for the Feast Days which may Occur on Sundays. By the Reverend Michael Andrew Chapman.

Hardback with grey cloth boards and red lettering. Published by B Herder Book Co of St Louis and London. First edition, 1928.

“In the course of the Ecclesiastical Year it may happen, more or less frequently, that certain Feasts of Our Lord, of His Blessed Mother, the Apostles and other notable Saints will fall on Sunday, this displacing the Mass of the Sunday, with its ‘Proper’. This ‘occurrence’ will often be overlooked by the busy Priest until he consults his Ordo, possibly on the very eve of the festival, and sermon material for such days is not likely to be easily accessible at short notice. It is believed that a little book of Sermon Schemata for such ‘Sunday Feast Days’ will be a welcome and useful addition to the library of homiletic material.”

No dust jacket. Some wear to spine and covers, and cracks at hinges, but remaining in good condition.
