335pp. Good copy, in DW, all in slipcase. Blue cloth binding with silver gilt titles has a few faint grubby marks, but is otherwise crisp and bright with good colours. Dust wrapper (Fair) is complete, but has sunned spine, chipping to edges and some ~2" closed tears to corners. Slipcase (Fair) is also complete, general shelf wear, rubbing to extremities, quite sunned to top edge and spine. Internally the book is very good. Pictorial end papers and paste downs are crisp, clean and bright. End paper has small, tidy owner's inscription. Scattered foxing, mostly to edges of block and end papers. Tightly bound throughout, with crisp clean pages. Tipped in colour plates are crisp and bright.
With 11 colour plates, and containing marvellous stories such as "The Story of Aladdin", "The Story of the Three Calenders", "The Story of Sinbad the Sailor", and "The Story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves".
With an Introduction by E. O. Lorimer, illustrations by Gordon Nicoll, and being in original DW and slipcase, this is a scarce copy.
