Tales of Daring and Danger by GA Henty

£5.99

Product description

Published by Blackie and Son Limited.

This volume of short stories contains five of G.A. Henty's classic tales: "Bears snd Dacoits," "The Paternosters," "A Pipe of Mystery," "White-Faced Dick," and "A Brush with the Chinese." The book is a mixture of text and line drawings.

This donated book was originally a prize given in 1912 for merit of good conduct.

This book is hard back and has green boards, which are decorated in floral design. Some of the gold colouring has worn in places. Unfortunately a circular sticker has been placed on the book at some stage of its life and this has left a dark circular mark, this may be able to be removed. the rear board shows some marks, possible from fluid droplets. The book shows signs of shelf wear with bumped corners and curvature of the ends of the spine. the internal pages are in good condition for the age of the book, but there is a small amount of foxing on some pages and on pages 52 and 53, there appears to be ink blots, although this does not obscure the text.
