The Age of Longing

£10.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

Arthur Koestler's fairly scarce novel about the Western world awaiting an invasion from the Eastern... ''the author reveals his vision of our world and the abyss into which he believes we are tottering''.
First edition paperback, November 1961. Mayflower (pre-Granada/Grafton/Collins) B12.
A very typical cover design for the time!

Good condition, considering it's age, but it has cracked between pp228/9. As with many paperbacks of this age, the glue tends to give way and/or crumble, so more cracking may occur - likely to be brittle.
Some wear to edges, wear & creasing to corners and spine/spine's edges. Spine a little faded. Minor tear at edge of rear cover & rear pages 295-319. Tanning to pages' margins. Someone once wrote '13p' on the front cover.
