The attractive cover, in brick red boards with gilt titling and decoration to spine and front, is in good, clean condition commensurate with age with just a little shelfwear to edges and slight fading to spine. Internally the book is in generally good, clean firm and bright condition for its age with some tanning to endpapers and half-title page and to page block edges. Unusual school prize label (dated January 1908) and small bookseller label (Geo Rose of Trowbridge) attached to front paste-down. Overall an attractive old copy of this exciting and highly readable title in Scott's Waverley novels series.
