Volume I has former owner's signature on front endpaper. All volumes have green endpapers, each volume has former owner's bookplate inside front cover. Binding generally good.
Vol. 1 pp385, spine complete but torn from body of book at top for one inch or so. and again at the bottom. bumping on cover corners, some wear and tear. Front hinge has slight damage, foxing throughout. Contents include an Advertisement and Preface, missing pages vii - x; postscript, a poem to the author of the Arabian Nights and contents of volume 1, and directions for placing the plates in all 5 volumes. Notes to the stories in volume 1 are at the end of the volume.
