The Big Green Book

£9.99

Product description

Long ago, a little boy named Jack discovered a big green book hidden under an old sack in a corner of the attic. He hoped that it was a storybook, but it was something much better - a book of magic spells! Robert Graves's story of a boy's triumph over adult rules and regulations is brought to life by Maurice Sendak's vividly funny artwork.

The book is in very good condition with some small surface wear marks around edges and down the spine, plus slight creasing to front corners; inside pages clean and bright.

"The text is simple but rich, and combines well with the fine illustrations. In pictures and in story, [Jack] and his aunt and uncle are thoroughly alive and fascinating." - 'Commonweal'.
