The Book of the Home a Practical Guide for the Modern Household (Vols 1 - 4)

£45.00

Product description

In pretty good condition overall. The outer covers are well rubbed and somewhat grubby. There is a stamp inside the front cover of each book 'Notre Dame Secondary School, Blackburn', although there are no further marks. The inside pages are generally clean, with no marks; just slightly grubby to the edges of the pages. Still very readable.

This set comprises 4 large (10" x 7") books with over 200 pages in each. 'Not many modern young women know very much about housekeeping when they marry and are called upon to manage homes of their own. but equipped with THE BOOK OF THE HOME, a woman may embark on housekeeping... in a most up-to-date and efficient way. .... THE BOOK OF THE HOME should be as interesting and invaluable to the mature and experienced woman as to the young bride to whom housekeeping is yet "the great adventure"'! Vol 1 deals with planning, building and furnishing the home, Volume 2 is devoted to the routine work within the home, Vol 3 deals with the care and upbringing of children and Vol 4 covers the outdoor side of home life.
