The Bundu Book of Birds Insects and Snakes

£9.99

Product description

The Standing Conference of National Voluntary Youth Organisations (S.C.N.V.Y.O.) introduced the second in the series of Bundu books in 1967. In doing so, it emphasised that this series is not intended for the specialist but as an introduction and guide for young Zimbabweans to the rich treasures of the flora and fauna of their country. It is hoped that by using these books young people will find the desire for further explorations. There are many scientific books in the categories covered which will help them do this. If the Bundu books serve to awaken this deeper interest they will have served their purpose.

Descriptions of birds and snakes are accompanied by coloured photographs. Insects are described with drawings and b/w photographs. The cover of the book has some slight soiling marks and there is some surface rubbing damage to the front left side. A former owner's name is written neatly at the top of the title page, and there are occasional ticks against descriptions.
