Published in 1954 in the Oxford series of monographs on the Chemistry of Natural Products where the emphasis was on the analytic and synthetic investigations of natural substances. This volume was intended as a comprehensive survey of the chemistry of all the morphine alkaloids including all papers published before Feb 1953. Overall good clean condition -- binding in the usual Oxford blue cloth with gold lettering has some scratches to front and damage to back, pages slightly aged but clean, no dust wrapper. Prize certificate Nottingham University inside front cover for the same year.
