Product description

Published 1839. A series of engravings of children of noble families accompanied by poems. Embossed boards with gold decoration and titling. Boards quite heavily stained. Spine damaged and binding a little fragile. Very ornate dedication on front free end-paper, which reads "Mary Baker from an affectionate cousin John Langton January 1839" Undoubtedly the book is not in good condition, however the engravings are clean and undamaged, except for water staining on one corner the last one. This staining is also evident on the rear end-papers. The protective tissue papers are all still in place. There is one loose page. This is a pretty rare volume.
