The Cloud of Witness: A Daily Sequence of Great Thoughts from Many Minds Following the Christian Seasons

£19.99

Product description

What we would call 'daily devotional readings', The Archbishop of Canterbury calls 'sequences of thoughts' in his prefatory note to this book by the Edith Lyttelton Gell. There is an image of the Light of the World at the front of the book.

Used, good considering age. The preface was written in 1891 but the inscription written in the book is dated 1903. The book is beautifully printed with red and black lettering and is pocket sized. The piece of tracing paper separating the image of the Light of the World from the title page is slightly creased. There is also a pencil price written in the front of the book. There is wear to the cover, in keeping with the age of the book and gold print has been used for the title and the embellishments. The corners and spine are bowed. The page ends are red. There are two green pagemarkers built into the book so that you can mark particular days. There are a few blank pages at the back for notes.
