By W.J.Loftie, illustrated by Yoshio Markino with an introduction by M.H.Spielmann and an essay by the artist. Published by Chatto and Windus in 1914. The text discusses boundaries, names, migrations of fashion, the Tower of London, Parks etc.

With 48 full-page coloured plates and 12 sepia plates of London and London life by Yoshio Markino.

In good used condition for age, bound in light brown cloth with stamped illustration to front and gold lettering to spine. Roughcut foredge and base of block. Shelf wear, corners bumped and exposed, spine damaged head and tail from use. pages uncut and a couple have been poorly cut, resulting in tears. A tracing of the title page has been made on the tissue guard at the front of the book, an owner's name on fep dated 1946 and an owner's sticker inside front board. Otherwise, pages are clean with minor foxing chiefly to title page, index and end papers.
