The Electrical Encyclopedia Vols I-IV (1935)

£24.99

Product description

Complete four-volume set of The Electrical Encyclopedia edited by S.G. Blaxland Stubbs. A comprehensive description of the scientific theory of electricity and the operations of the electrical industry, this was considered the most valuable handbook for electricians of the time. Undated but a brief inscription inside all volumes dates this as the second edition of 1935. The dark red cloth boards have a faux leather look along with an impressed logo and borders. There is gilt lettering and illustration to the spines. 1440 pages overall, each volume measures 18cm x 25 cm.

Vol 1 contains 8 black and white plates and 460 text illustrations.
Vol 2 contains 8 black and white plates, a folding chart and 418 text illustrations.
Vol 3 contains 8 black and white plates and 466 text illustrations.
Vol 4 contains 9 black and white plates, a folding chart and 537 text illustrations.

This set is in unusually good condition compared to most available. Vols 1, 2, 3 have only light scuffing to the board edges. Vol 4 has a small spine tear at the top but otherwise only light scuffing to board edges. In all vols the pages are clear with light tanning and no foxing, except for a little on the front end papers of Vol 3 only. Bindings are intact throughout. As would be expected the end papers are stained.
