There are 12 appendices on special subjects, including a chronology, lists of towns and of learned societies, diplomatic representation and statistics. Each section is illustrated by numerous photographs carefully selected from the thousands available. Five maps include rainfall, temperature, tribes, and European areas and agriculture. No other book exists about the Federation covering the same ground with the same authority and impartiality.
