Hardback with olive cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and black lettering to front board, decorative endpapers. Published by Patrick Geddes & Colleagues, Edinburgh, 1896.
Ernest Percival Rhys (1859-1946) was a Welsh-English editor and writer of fiction, essays, poetry, and plays. While working on the Lyric Poets series for J. M. Dent & Sons, he persuaded them to begin publishing the ambitious Everyman series of affordable classics.
Hardback, no dustjacket. Boards are bumped and the spine is faded, but spine lettering is bright. Inscription inside ffep, and some water staining to rear endpapers, as photographed.
