The Folio Society Book of the 100 Greatest Paintings

£14.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

An excellent attractively produced Folio Society edition of 100 paintings selected under the General Editorship of Martin Bailey. Contains beautifully produced colour plates, each described at length on the facing page, from 'The Rucelai Madonna' by Duccio, to 'Guernica' by Pablo Picasso.

Printed on creator silk paper and bound in full buckram, the substantial heavy book has blue boards and gilt titles, with the artists' names in gilt on the front cover. The blue slip-case has an illustration of Vermeer's masterpiece, 'The Art of Painting' on one side; on the plain side there are some light general handling marks but it is otherwise fine. The book itself is in 'as new' condition.
