Book in good condition, Light brown mark on the front board, slightly rubbed at spine sides and ends and outer corner edges. The paper is very slightly cracked at the hinge inside front board, but the book is still very tight and firm. The advertisement pages at the front and back of the book are a little tanned. The text pages are not tanned and in very good clean condition. On the front board previous owner's name and date. - " J.E. Pearce, G? E.E.R.E. Jan 13. 1902." xlv, 420pp, With 20 pages of advertisements at the front of the book and 71 pages at the back. With 12 colour folding maps and two diagrams, Including Bibliography, List of Atlases, Log Book and Index. Part One is General Information. Part Two - Routes and Gazetteer. Covering Railways, Transport Wagons, Climate, South African States, Mining , History, Fencing and Breaking up of Land, Acquisition of Land, and much more For full Contents see photos On the photos the double pages have a brown line in the centre, that is due to the lighting when the photo was taken , the actual pages are not marked. . This is a most interesting book in a really good condition for its age of 122 ears.
