Comprises the complete History of the Thirty Years' War and the History of the Revolt of the Netherlands up to the Confederacy of the Gueux. Illustrated with tissue-guarded frontispiece. Fourteen-page publisher's catalogue of Bohn's various libraries to front and rear, including endpapers. Pagination: viii + 519 pages.

Green cloth binding with blind-stamped decoration to covers and spine and gilt lettering to spine.

Good condition for a book of this considerable age: light wear to covers and spine, mainly to edges with light bumping to cover corners and spine ends revealing board material at rear cover top corner and back-strip material at both ends of spine, light slanting to spine, light cracking to front hinge, lesser cracking to rear hinge, top and fore edges of some pages uncut, some page gatherings starting to detach, all pages remain intact, 1.5cm closed tear to page 41/42 top edge, 3.5cm closed tear to page 177/178 top edge, 1.5cm closed tear to page 225/226 fore edge; inscriptions to catalogue page 3 and to half-title page, light foxing fore and aft and to page edges with light soiling to top edge of pages, occasional foxing internally but generally clean with clear text throughout.
