Alternatively titled "The National Comprehensive Family Bible". "with the Commentaries Of Scott & Henry Containing many thousand critical & Explanatory Notes". Edited By the Revd. John Eadie, D.D., LL.D. Professor Of Biblical Literature To The United Presbyterian Church. Undated, but with a dedication dated 1899. Full, embossed, leather binding with metal corners to the boards and twin metal clasps. Gilt edges to text block. In good condition. Rubbing to edges of boards, edges and top and tail of spine and raised bands on spine. Some drawing pin (?) marks to the front board. Some grubby marks to front and rear end papers. Dedication on rear of frontispiece. Some foxing to frontispiece, tissue guard and first coloured title page. Very slight spotting to second, plain, title page. First two pages of Family Register completed (Husband and wife and Children). Page edges lightly tanned throughout. Tipped in at p 1068-9, a rush cross, which has left staining on these two pages. Otherwise clean internally. All pages present. Tight binding.
