This book commemorates the hundredth anniversary of the Irish Lighthouse Service, an organisation which dates back to the fifth century A.D., when St Dubhan established at Hook Point, C. Wexford a light which has been, more or less, continuously exhibited ever since. 149 pp with many illustrations in text, in addition to 28 plates in b/w and colour, all in good condition. The dust jacket, protected by a loose sleeve, is rubbed and bumped at the extremities, has surface wear and one or two open tears less than 1/2" long. This does not affect printed information on the dj which is all perfectly legible. The blue boards are slightly rubbed on the spine, with a bump near the back lower corner. The cut edges carry a few grubby spots but the text is very clean. May incur higher postal rate.
