Volumes XXV and XXVI of The Mirror of Literature, Amusement and Instruction, containing all the weekly parts published in 1835 (starting with issue no. 700 of the 3rd January 1835 and ending with issue no. 755 of the 26th December 1835) plus an Index at the rear of Vol. XXVI. The weekly magazine contained "Original Essays; Historical Narratives; Biographical Memoirs; Manners and Customs; Topographical Descriptions; Sketches and Tales; Anecdotes; Select Extracts from New and Expensive Works; Poetry, Original and Selected; The Spirit of the Public Journals; Discoveries in the Arts & Sciences; New Facts in Natural History". The books have been re-bound in half-cloth. The cream paper boards are a bit grubby, and the paper has been worn away in places at the rear upper edge of Vol. XXV. There is light wear to the brown cloth spinal margins. Page edges are dusty. The pages are toned, and there is scattered foxing, and some staining, throughout. Some page corners have been folded. In Vol. XXV, there are some pencil marks on pages 22 and 23, an open tear in the margin of pages 421/422 (which affects only one word of text), the front and rear hinges are slightly weakened, and a large number of upper page corners are affected by what appears to be mouse nibbling. In Vol. XXVI, a large part of the lower half of pages 265/266 has been torn out.
