Hardback, published by Editions du Colombier, Paris, 1965. Introductory essay by Pierre Mac Orlan, photography by Arielli, and commentary by A. Ginsbourg. This is the English version, translated by Jean Morrison.
The book contains 125 photographs, mostly black and white, many full page, by Arielli, of whom Francois Mauriac said that “he has seized and fixed in space, but out of time, infinitely more, perhaps, than he himself knows.” Pierre Mac Orlan (1882-1970), who wrote the introduction, was a French novelist and songwriter, and an influential critic of film and photography.
