THE NEW ARCHEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES and their bearing upon the new testament

£399.99

Product description

This is a 7th Edition copy of the New Archeological Discoveries and their bearing upon the new testament and upon the life and times of the primitive church. This to give it it's full title. The first edition was published by Funk & Wagnalls Company in 1917. This is the 7th edition published 1922 , and whilst I confess I have been unable to trace any other copies of this edition, there being numerous copies of the previous six, it doesn't mean ours is the only available one. Rather, the only one I've found. If I'm right, then I think it's reasonably priced. Stamped in two places near inside cover is the former owner's details, namely Thomas J Roberts. 793 pages excluding scripture texts illustrated and index. In reasonable condition given its age, there are some slight tears at various places on the lower edges of various pages and the latter images may assist here, as they may to show the general wear and tear and yellowing of various pages. Some passages of text have been underlined in pencil, on a several pages at best. There is no dust cover, the hardcover is in reasonable condition and the binding is intact.
For those spell checkers amongst you, the american version is applied in the title.
