The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club

£19.99

Product description

The Posthumous papers of the Pickwick Club, by Charles Dickens. With fourteen illustrations by A. Chasemore, published c1880 by John Dicks.

John Dicks was known for issuing affordably priced volumes, such as "shilling Shakespeares and wonderfully cheap reprints of Scott and other standard authors". The text in this volume is written on two columns per page to save paper, and on illustrated pages the illustration can still be seen faintly on the other side of the page, despite the remarkably fine paper the text is in very good condition.

Condition is good, with fading to the front board, and shelfwear at both the top and bottom of the spine. The corners are bumped.
