The Professor at the Breakfast-Table [1906, World's Classics, Leather Binding}

£19.99

Product description

Originally published in 1860 this is a 'World's Classics' edition from 1906. Attractively bound in deep burgundy-coloured leather with gilt spine lettering and decoration. Gilt top edge to the text block, with a red page-marker ribbon. Decorative end-papers and title page.

This is the second of the Oliver Wendell-Holmes' 'Breakfast-Table' books. The chapters are all related and follow a theme through the narrative. This is probably the most bitterly satirical of the three books, with a detailed introduction by W Robertson Nicoll.

Light rubbing wear to the spine. In very good clean and fresh condition, throughout and a tight binding.
