These heavy books are in a good condition, in the original red cloth and gilt lettering. The covers show signs of shelfwear and edgewear, with bumped corners, and the inner front endpapers of both volumes are slightly torn and stained. There is some yellowing of pages in keeping with the age of the books, but internally the pages are clean.
