33 Hardback Volumes published by the Gresham Publishing Company between 1904 and 1910. Edited by E K Chambers with attractive Art Nouveau cover design by Talwin Morris. Books include: King John, The Tempest, Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, All's Well that Ends Well, Henry the Fifth, Much Ado about Nothing, King Richard III, King Richard II, Pericles, The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Titus Andronicus, The Merchant of Venice, Measure for Measure, Troilus and Cressida, Antony and Cleopatra, Macbeth, King Henry IV Part I, King Henry IV Part II, Coriolanus, As You Like It, Cymbeline, Twelfth Night, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, Love's Labour's Lost, King Henry VI Part II, King Lear, King Henry VI Part I, King Henry VI Part III and Romeo and Juliet. All books have cream cloth covers, green edging to top and measure 16cm x 9.5cm x 1.5cm approx depending on the number of pages which in Romeo and Juliet for example is 140. The books are all in Very Good condition given their age, there is some bumping to top and bottom of spines, binding is sound and pages are unmarked save for some foxing on the edges of some books which does extend to the edges of some pages in some books but does not obscure the print. The first and final free end pages are probably brown in colour from new but do appear slightly tanned. A delightful series.
